Now through March 14, the Waukesha County Community Foundation is proud to again host Waukesha County Provides, a fundraising initiative founded in 2016 to support our four county-wide basic needs agencies: The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County, Hebron House of Hospitality, Hope Center, and The Women’s Center.
Did you know February is National Heart Awareness Month? The American Heart Association has designated February as National Heart Awareness Month in an effort to stop Heart Disease from being the “Silent Killer” that it is. Heart Disease is currently the leading cause of death in the US. In fact, 1 in 4 deaths in the US can be traced back to Heart Disease.
Eliminating or even reducing world hunger is a daunting task. But, for us, tackling the hunger that exists in this county has been a community-centered process and a successful one. We have made consistent improvements in the ways food is provided and also increased the nutritional value and quantity of food we provide to each household we serve. But we still need to do better. And with your help, we can.
Thank you to all those who celebrated our 40th Anniversary, it was a wonderful evening that brought friends together, both old and new, to honor and celebrate the visionary people who founded the FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County and the volunteers who have kept us going.
