Federal Nutrition Programs
Although The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County is not a government agency, The FOOD Pantry facilitates the distribution of commodity foods through federal nutrition programs. The FOOD Pantry Serving Waukesha County is an equal opportunity provider.
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
The FOOD Pantry participates in The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), a federally funded food program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered through the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services. In partnership with these government agencies Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin TEFAP provides food for pantries and meal sites in Jefferson and Waukesha counties. TEFAP food products are provided to income-eligible clients of The FOOD Pantry through the grocery distribution program.
Commodity Supplemental Food Program (Stockbox)
In partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture and Hunger Task Force, The FOOD Pantry distributes pre-packed boxes of shelf stable foods to registered, income-eligible seniors (60 years and older) once a month through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program, also known as the Stockbox.
Eligible seniors can pick up their Stockboxes directly at The FOOD Pantry during service hours or sign up for delivery through the Stockbox DoorDash Delivery
